Brazilians are known for their creativity in music, dance and fashion. Gedilva is proud to be Brazilian and she has expanded her work with an originality which means her creations are internationally recognized.

However, to create a hat also requires technical ability and know-how. She is also in contact with the big names in the trade so she can learn with them. The exchange of ideas and the research she does in her workshop is
reflected in each hat which is born from the dexterous manipulation of specialist fabrics.

Gedilva takes part in the creation of each hat: she measures, prepares the different pieces and puts them together. Her toolbox is composed of wooden forms, an iron, lots of pins and a thimble used to produce unique pieces. The work is slow and delicate. However, it is the only way to arrive at the perfect finish, which is the priority of Maison Gedilva Paris.

Hats have been put aside in our hurried modern lives and they have somewhat lost their place in the overall look of feminine attire. Now they are reappearing as part of a charming and elegant way of dressing. Thanks to
this resurgence, Gedilva looks to create hats that can be worn by modern
women. In her way of looking at things, being a milliner is dressing with culture and transforming opinions.
